Hey, I'm Holly!
I am a New Zealand based graphic designer and artist, painting in my spare time and Graphic Designer at Macpac full time. November 2023 I graduated with a Bachelors of Design at AUT. Majoring in Communication Design, and minoring in Creative Entrepreneurship.
My graphic design journey started year 12 of high school, when I wanted to get out of health class and the only option was design. Little did I know, this choice would completely change my life and I haven't looked back since. However, I have always been creative, growing up with an artistic mother who gave me someone to look up to. I was always motivated to create, do better, and be in galleries like her one day. This pushed me to get into my first exhibition at age 12 and sell out. Ever since I have been exhibiting my art in exhibitions and galleries across the country.
I haven't strayed too far from visual art though, with my strengths in graphic design remaining illustration, with an interest in branding and packaging. I'm guilty of incorporating digital illustration into almost all of my projects, such as two of my latest projects Insideher and the CBF rebrand.
I have recently been awarded a 2024 Gold Best Award in Student and Academic Graphics for my project Be Picky, as well as the AUT DINZ Award. Additionally, I won Bronze in the 2023 Best Design Awards for my project Insideher.
I'm a passionate designer eager to learn and grow, and am currently a full time Graphic Designer at Macpac. This opportunity has been an incredible introduction into the industry and I'm super excited to see where it takes me!
